Security at EazyTruck

Protecting customer, operational, and fleet data is an important part of how EazyTruck designs and operates its services.

This page provides a high-level overview of the security practices used to protect EazyTruck systems and customer data. We intentionally do not publish sensitive implementation details that could reduce the security of our systems.

1. Data Protection

EazyTruck applies technical and organisational measures designed to protect customer and fleet data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

Access to customer data is limited to authorised users and personnel who require access for legitimate operational, support, or administrative purposes.

2. Encryption

EazyTruck uses encrypted network connections where appropriate to help protect data transmitted between users, applications, and supporting services.

3. Authentication and Access Controls

EazyTruck uses authenticated access to protect areas of the platform that contain customer or operational information.

User permissions and access controls are used to restrict access based on an individual's authorised role and business needs.

Customers are responsible for protecting their account credentials and ensuring that access is provided only to authorised users.

4. Infrastructure and Hosting Security

EazyTruck uses managed infrastructure and hosting services to operate the platform. Infrastructure access is restricted to authorised personnel and services based on operational need.

Security responsibilities are shared between EazyTruck and its infrastructure and technology providers, depending on the service involved.

5. Backups and Resilience

EazyTruck maintains processes intended to reduce the risk of data loss and support recovery from operational failures.

6. Monitoring and Logging

EazyTruck uses operational logging and monitoring where appropriate to support system reliability, troubleshooting, security investigations, and detection of unusual activity.

Access to logs and operational information is limited to authorised personnel and systems.

7. Vulnerability and Security Management

EazyTruck maintains its software and supporting technology with security in mind and addresses identified security issues based on their nature, severity, and potential impact.

Software dependencies and infrastructure should be kept reasonably current, with security updates applied as appropriate.

8. Software Development Practices

Security considerations are incorporated into the development and maintenance of EazyTruck software, including limiting unauthorised access to source code, systems, and production environments.

Changes to production systems should be controlled and deployed through authorised development and deployment processes.

9. Third-Party Service Providers

EazyTruck relies on selected third-party technology providers for parts of its infrastructure and business operations.

Where those providers process customer or personal data, EazyTruck considers appropriate data protection and security requirements based on the nature of the service and applicable legal obligations.

Additional information about personal data processing is available in our Privacy Policy.

10. Incident Handling

EazyTruck maintains processes for responding to suspected security incidents, investigating relevant events, taking appropriate corrective action, and restoring affected services where necessary.

Where a security incident affects personal data or customer information, EazyTruck will take appropriate notification and response steps where required by applicable law or contractual obligations.

11. Customer Responsibilities

Security is a shared responsibility. Customers and authorised users should:

  • use strong and unique passwords;
  • keep account credentials confidential;
  • remove access when users no longer require it;
  • grant only the permissions required for each user;
  • keep devices and browsers reasonably up to date;
  • notify EazyTruck promptly if unauthorised access or suspicious account activity is suspected; and
  • use the Services in accordance with our Terms of Service.

12. Privacy and Regulatory Responsibilities

EazyTruck's handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that their own use of EazyTruck and any data they enter into the platform complies with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

13. Reporting Security Concerns

If you believe you have identified a security issue affecting EazyTruck, please contact us so that we can investigate it.

Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive customer, credential, or personal information in an initial security report.
